RG Kar Suo Motu Case : Live Updates From Supreme Court Hearing

The Supreme Court will hear today the suo motu case taken over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College Hospital.

A bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Misra will hear the matter.

On the previous hearing date (September 30), the junior doctors' association had told the Court they were performing all essential medical services, including IP and OP duties. Earlier, the Court had directed the protesting doctors to stop the abstention from work.

The Court is also examining the progress of the investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
