Supreme Court directs ICAI to notify on the website the steps taken to address the concerns raised by candidates taking CA exams and the corrective measures taken with respect to such concerns.

Supreme Court directs ICAI to notify all the concerns that have been brought up by the students and the steps taken by the Institute to counter the same.

Swaraj: This assuages all our concerns.

Bench directs Srinivasan to notify on the website the concerns of the students and the steps taken by the Institute, so that the students are made aware of the corrective measures. 

Bench: These students are appearing for professional examinations. They should gear up themselves and not ask for such concessions.

Swaraj: I just have one request - if these suggestions can be put up on the website today. Especially about the containment zones. 

Bench, with respect to the request for more time, to Swaraj: Be reasonable in your requests. Look at the suggestions in your note. “Hands are perspiring” ? We are not very impressed by your suggestions. 

Srinivasan: We have been holding this exam for 72 years. Our children have also gone through this. We have even opened a grievance cell. We always have a Plan B. 

Bench: This is going to be a State-specific problem.

Srinivasan notes the same. 

Srinivasan: My friend asked if the admit cards can be used as e-cards for travelling. We have no issue with that, but the Home Affairs will have to deal with this. So, Mr. Nataraj is here and can guide us.

Srinivasan: We are strictly acting in compliance of MHA guidelines. We will not put to risk the students. We cannot however provide isolation rooms and risk with COVID patients coming in and putting others at risk.
