Adv. Anushree Kapadia is appearing for an intervenor, a father of a government officer who wishes to take the exams.
Bench asks Kapadia to serve a copy of the IA to Kaushik and all other parties
Justice Khanwilkar: They will take care of it in their reply.
Supreme Court has directed UPSC to file their Affidavit by tomorrow. Matter will now be taken up on 30 September.
Bench considers the submission and states that the matter will be taken up day after, that is, Wednesday (30 September).
Bench: Can you put in a short Affidavit listing down the logistical reasons for not postponing ?
Kaushik: Yes, will do so.
Adv. Naresh Kaushik appearing for UPSC: I find it completely impossible to agree with this. The matter was considered and deferment was done, but it was realised that deferment would completely hurt the process of the exam.
Sr. Adv. VK Shukla is present on behalf of the Petitioners. He states that the other side has been served a copy.
