Some petitioners in the NEET-UG case have filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate into the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 exam.

ED should take up the matter to bring the accused under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, they urged.

“The Enforcement Directorate is duty bound to take cognizance of the matter, investigate and secure punishment,” the applicants stated.

This has been filed as an Interlocutory Application in the case Shivangi Mishra and others vs. National Testing Agency, in which the Supreme Court issued notice on June 10. The petition is listed on July 8.

Adv Mathews Nedumpara mentioned this application today before the vacation bench of Justices AS Oka and Rajesh Bindal, and requested that notice may be issued on the application.

However, the bench refused to take up the matter and said that let it come on the scheduled date, July 8.

In a related development, the CBI has taken up the investigation into NEET-UG exam based on the direction of the Union Government.
