Order : While considering the rival submissions, it must be noted at the outset that the academic schedule has already been delayed by over 4 months.
Order : Ms Bhati has submitted that NMC was granted approval by this court for the time schedule and the NMC's circular did not extend the time for admission.
Order : The ASG further submitted that is is necessary to allow the schedule to be put back on track.
Order : as they are supposed to be three batches of PGS doctors available in hospitals but as opposed to this only two batches are available due to delay;
Order : ..was a matter of serious deliberation in the Ministry and a decision was taken on May 10 against postponement for reasons bearing on public interest and medical education. Any delay would infract upon patient care, since this will lead to fewer number of resident doctors
Order : and will also give more time for students to prepare. Mr Wilson also relied on circular issued by NMC that last date for filling information for colleges was extended to May 9.

Order : The new date for NEET PG 2022 has been fixed as May 21, 2022, with results expected on 20 June, 2022. Senior counsel for petitioners urged that in this backdrop, the petitioners who are doctors and rendered covid duties for past 2 years, were following counselling process
