A single judge bench of Justice Jayant Nath of the Delhi High Court today issued notice on a plea alleging discrepancies in OMR answer sheets of NEET 2020.

The court was hearing a plea filed by 14 students who alleged that there were discrepancies between their original OMR answer sheets of NEET 2020, and the ones uploaded on the website by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Sr. Adv. Gopal Shankarnarayanan and Adv. Tanvi Dubey appearing on behalf of the petitioners argued that serious instances of tampering with NEET 2020 OMR answer sheets had been shown in the petition including blank OMR, wrong roll number, incorrect bar code and two different scores for the same candidate on two different dates.
On a plea to this effect filed before the Apex Court, the NTA was directed to provide the OMR sheets to the students immediately however, the sheets had not been provided even after representations by the petitioners requesting for the same.
The Delhi High Court had then allowed the petitioners to physically verify the OMR Sheets and listed the matter for further hearing.
After erification by some petitioners who had specially traveled to New Delhi for the same, they filed additional documents before the court alleging that some sheets were found torn and refurbished with tapes, whereas some others were found blank.
The court could not hear the matter on the date, however, after hearing the case today it has issued notice to the respondents including the NTA.
