AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi: If Bhagat Singh and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi were alive, they would say that this is the Rowlatt Act. The government has to answer who are the actual successors of Macaulay.
AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi opposes the proposal to impose fines, instead of jail sentences, on manufacturers of substandard drugs -
"This govt is putting the populace at risk. Where companies were supposed to be punished, it decided to only impose fines. But, non-violent offences of sedition and defamation are included within the new criminal law. These bills are marked by distrust for the people, and trust for businesses."
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey opposes #SupremeCourt's decision reading down Section 377 or striking down Section 497 -
"I am against 377 and adultery. The Supreme Court's motto is yato dharmastato jayah, but it isn't talking about dharma. No dharma endorses adultery or unnatural sex. Whatever the Supreme Court has done was wrong."
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey: For the information of those who think our govt does not believe in democracy and bulldozes the opposition, it was this govt that had the conviction and courage to withdraw the bills after the standing committee recommended changes. This standing committee had members from all political parties. In the revised bills, all recommendations made by the standing committee have been incorporated.
