Course Description:
Having gone through the process of making applications for pursuing higher education abroad myself, I know that it can be challenging to try and summarize all of one's work in the prescribed format and ensure that one is making an honest and impressive Application, worthy of the Ivy League.
While for me, the process was mostly solitary, I realize with hindsight knowledge that if only, I had access to right advice at the right time, my journey would have been much smoother, especially since studying abroad entails considerable financial expenditure.
Over the last one decade, I have tried to help many friends, juniors, and just random people who approached me for help with their applications. I have poured hours explaining the intricacies of Statement of Purpose (SOP), Essays and have personally given Letters of Recommendations (LORs) to several students.
This course brings together all the different aspects of pursuing a 'Masters in Law' abroad – right from choosing the college/University, to making one's best application, to planning for tuition and other expenses, and exploring the best career options post-graduation. The bootcamp is focused on covering both the theoretical and the practical aspects of making the most successful application, alongside ensuring that you get individual attention on your applications. The online course will be held from 11th to 20th February 2024, every day, for two hours each – 8.00 to 10.00 PM. Each student will also get a time slot for online consultation with the course instructor, to address individual-specific challenges during the process.
Pursuing a degree for Masters in Law abroad, is usually a nine-month process, for which typically a student spends about Rs. 50 lakhs +. Therefore, it is pertinent to make informed choice about when to go, where to go, what to read and what to do once the course is done. Is the financial investment worth it? And if yes, how does one ensure making the most of the money spent? But primarily, how does one ensure making one's best application to get through one's dream college? All this and more, will be covered in this intense 10 days online bootcamp.
It's a bootcamp because every participant will be encouraged to work on their individual application, with dedicated time for personal feedback to ensure that each one comes out the bootcamp with a major part of their application process done.
Timing is crucial. Just like digging a well, after the fire has started never serves well, so does making a last hitch attempt at writing one's application is usually a proven recipe for failure. Please ensure that you begin preparations long enough, keep all your options open, and plan atleast a year in advance so that you don't miss any deadline. Letting go of some best options, both for colleges and scholarships, simply due to the failure of planning on time, is not the ideal way to begin your application process.
This bootcamp will be useful for all those who are considering applying for Masters' abroad, or are in the process of applying or are considering re-applying. It is okay to come for the bootcamp with an idea of wanting to apply abroad and leaving with a solid draft application, retaining the ultimate choice of applying or nor and going for that Masters' or not.
