The Supreme Court on Tuesday has listed the plea filed by journalist Rana Ayyub challenging the summons issued to her by the Ghaziabad court on 23rd January. The matter was mentioned before a bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha by Senior Advocate Vrinda Grover for an early listing.

The summons is issued in relation to a PMLA case. In October 2022, the ED had filed a complaint against her before the Ghaziabad court over alleged violations in publicly raising funds for COVID relief.

On Tuesday, Senior Advocate Vrinda Grover sought for an early listing of the matter and asked the bench to list it on the coming Friday. However, CJI DY Chandrachud stated that the matter would be heard on 23rd January 2023.
