Droupadi Murmu was sworn-in as the 15th President of India on Monday by the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana.

The CJI administered the oath of office to Droupadi Murmu at the Central Hall of the Parliament in New Delhi tomorrow at 10.15 AM.

Murmu, 64, was declared the winner of the Presidential elections on July 21 after defeating opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha to become the first tribal and the second woman to hold the top constitutional post.

The outgoing President Ram Nath Koving, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and CJI NV Ramana escorted Murmu to the Parliament hall for the oath-taking ceremony.
