The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of five judges, including the Chief Justices of Madras High Court and Megalaya High Court.

Citing better administration of justice, the Collegium has resolved to exchange the positions of Justice V.K. Tahilramani, presently the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court and Justice A.K. Mittal, presently the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.

Further, Justice Vivek Agarwal, of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has been recommended to be transferred to Allahabad High Court, despite his request to consider his posting within the State of Madhya Pradesh.

Justice Amit Rawal, Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court has been recommended to be transferred to the Kerala High Court, despite his request for reconsideration of the proposal.

Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar of the Telangana High Court has been recommended to be transferred to the Punjab & Haryana High Court. Notably, transfer of Justice Sanjay Kumar has attracted serious criticism from Telanagana Advocate's Association and has led to a week-long strike.
