The Telangana High Court on Friday took cognizance of a representation received by the office of the Chief Justice requesting judicial intervention regarding the encounter killings of 4 workers who were accused of raping, murdering and burning the body of a 27-year-old Hyderabad based veterinarian.

All the accused were killed in an encounter early Friday morning after the police claimed they attempted to flee.

Advocate General of Telangana appeared before a division bench of the High Court on Friday evening at 8 pm and informed the bench that post-mortem of the four accused is being done at Mahboobnagar and being video graphed.

Court directed the video to be handed over to the Principal District judge of Mahboobnagar in a CD or pen-drive, who will then hand over the same to the registrar General of the High Court.

The bench also directed the dead bodies of all four accused to be preserved till December 9. A bench presided over by the Chief justice will hear the matter on December 9 at 10:30 am.
