Vide a resolution dated 29th July, the Bar Council of India has decided to postpone the date of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is to be noted that the new date of examination and schedules will be considered and decided by the Monitoring Committee for AIBE, which is to be headed by a former Judge of the Supreme Court of India.

The AIBE was previously going to be held on 16.08.2020. However, in light of the "present pandemic situation and frequent lockdown, increasing number of Corona patients daily", the BCI has resolved to postpone the date of the examination.

The date for receipt of applications has also been postponed to 31.08.2020.
