Raju refers to a Supreme Court judgment.

Raju: If I'm not entitled to file a reply then don't even hear me. I can't be deprived of my right to file a reply.

Raju commences submissions.

Raju: My first submission is that I want to file a reply....Even where the question was almost covered, SC took a view that party is entitled to be heard.

Court: I'm issuing notice in the main petition I've already said this.

Raju: I also need time to file reply even on interim relief. 

Court to Desai: This is an issue that one person can have one senior counsel. What you can do is, you can give me a short note and I'll consider whatever you've to say. I'll make it part of my order.

Raju: Let it be a level playing field. You want a level playing field. If many lawyers appear for you, I'll also request three lawyers to appear for ED. Let it be a level playing field. 

Singhvi ends his submissions.

ASG SV Raju: I object to there being more than one lawyer. It can't be done. It has never been done. Otherwise for ED I'll have 10 lawyers appearing. It's not done.

Senior Advocate Amit Desai also appears for Kejriwal. 

Singhvi: When evrything is known, your lordships have to either allow it or dismiss it. This is a matter where democracy is involved, basic structure is involved, level playing field is invoked. A few hours is too long if the arrest is illegal. A week is too long if the arrest is illegal.

Singhvi: Earlier, the grounds of arrest used to be less than a page. Now it runs into pages. It started two days after Pankaj Bansal. ED is frozen in time in giving your lordships grounds of arrest.

Singhvi: I've given ten points. They are entirety of the argument that arrest is illegal. In either event, in interim or final prayer, the entire case depends on two things, what ED has already spoken. ED has already spoken on most detailed grounds of arrest.
