Supreme Court of India Today transferred all Cases relating to Vyapam Scam and related Deaths to CBI for investigation.There were four petitions pending before the Apex  Court including that of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, whistle blower Anand Rai, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas and an NGO. The Bench headed by Chief Justice of India H L. Dattu also issued notice to the Centre on a plea for removal of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav and asked to file the reply within four weeks. The Case is posted to July 24. The Bench agreed to consider the plea for monitoring of investigation by Supreme Court on July 24. Senior Counsel Kapil Sibal, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Indira Jaising and Vivek Tankha were appeared for the Petitioner. Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi appeared for the Government also favoured the CBI investigation in the matter


As per the report by Krishnadas Rajagopal for Hindu;

'The Bench slammed the HC for deferring an application made by the Madhya Pradesh government for CBI probe to February 20, saying it merely "wanted to wash its hands off the responsibility by lobbing the ball into the Supreme Court".

Chief Justice Dattu said the High Court will not now "touch the Vyapam cases once we have ordered CBI investigation"."We will not allow the number of deaths from 36 to 37 or 38. Not one more will die,"

The Vyapam Scam is stated to involve the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam, which conducts the examinations for positions like medical officers, constables, teachers and auditors for government departments.

The candidates allegedly bribed government officials to make it to the list of those who cleared the test.

Since it came to light, a large number of people associated with the scam have died mysterious deaths, leading to the families of the victims and the opposition suspecting and alleging foul play.

A trainee sub inspector, Anamika Kushwaha, reportedly committed suicide at the police training academy on Monday morning. On Saturday, Aaj Tak journalist Akshay Singh suddenly died when he had gone to interview the family of another deceased in the Vyapam Scam in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav’s son Shailesh Yadav, an accused in the Vyapam scam, was found dead at his father’s residence in Lucknow on March 25.
