The Supreme Court Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee (GSICC)debarred Advocate CS Nagesh for an incident of sexual harassment. The inquiry relating to sexual harassment was conducted under Rule 10 Sub-Rule (1) of Gender Sensitisation &Sexual Harassment of Women at the Supreme Court of India (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Regulations, 2013. On 4thMarch, this report was submitted to the Chief Justice of India P Sathasivam. The recommendation the committee was for rustication of the said Advocate from the court premises for a year.

But the Supreme Court opined that Advocate Nagesh should only be banned for six months from the apex court, since there was only one complaint ever made against him and it would allow him to "redeem himself" and "operate as a deterrent against him":

A Six member committee was set up by the Supreme Court for framing, 'Gender Sensitisation & Sexual Harassment of Women at the Supreme Court of India (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Regulations, 2013'
