Elections to the Executive Committee of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will be held on December 12.

The decision was taken by the Election Committee, and was communicated along with a a brief election programme and list of dates.

The provisional voters’ list was published and displayed on the notice board and on the SCBA website on November 16. Post decision on objections received, the final voters’ list will be published on November 27.

Nominations for various posts can then be filed between November 28 and November 30, after which a draft list of candidates will be prepared. Objections can be filed for this list as well, post which the final list will be made public on December 4.

A day before the elections, the candidates for the post of President and Hony Secretary will debate it out in the Supreme Court Lawns. This would be their last bit of campaigning. The polling will begin at 5 PM on December 12 in Library 1 in the Supreme Court premises.
