All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) 2015 results is to be delay again after the Supreme Court on Friday reserved its verdict on the petition alleging large- scale irregularities in the examination. Extending the stay, court directed CBSE not to declare the AIPMT results till the Judgment which is to be pronounced soon. The court which had earlier considered conducting re-examination as the last resort, opined that "The examination stands vitiated even if one student is being benefited illegally."

Strongly opposing the move to conduct re-examination, Ranjt Kumar Solicitor General appearing for CBSE, said that "6.3 lakh students cannot be made to take the exam afresh when only 44 students have been found involved in taking benefits through unfair means." The Supreme Court had urged the Police to identify the exact number of beneficiaries, to consider whether the situation demands conducting re-examination. The AIPMT result which was scheduled to be declared on June 5, had been stayed before by the court till June 12, on finding the occurrence of large scale irregularities including answer keys being leaked.

Meanwhile, a lot of universities across the country which accepts AIPMT ranking are held on queue to start their admission process. Dr Girish Verma, principal of Government Medical College Kota, was quoted speaking to Hindustan times, “If the issue of AIPMT is not resolved within 5-10 days, the academic session in Government Medical College and other colleges of Rajasthan would get delayed since admissions to medical colleges in Rajasthan will be done through AIPMT results. The delay in academic sessions would mean delay in examinations and entire academic session would suffer.” Delay in publishing the result will have far reaching consequences affecting the future of the students and Medical Education in India as a whole.
