The objective is to include promoting and encouraging the innovation of Intellectual Property Rights, to safeguard IPRs and to make people aware of the IPR Products and Goods registered under IP Law.
What do we seek?
Intellectual Property Rights Attorney Association is seeking dedicated and research-inclined law students across India to aid in association’s research project. The project deals with identification of local products and goods (belonging to the student's home state or place of residence) that deserves to be recognized as special products or goods originating from that area. Please bear in mind that the products and goods that you will research on should not be part of the Geographical Indication Registry of India.
Such goods may be agricultural, natural or manufactured goods as originating, or manufactured in the territory or country, or a region or locality in that territory, where a given quality, reputation or other characteristic of such good is essentially attributable to its specialness.
Some examples of famous products and goods from different states are: Darjeeling Tea (West Bengal), Basmati Rice (Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir), Assam Tea (Assam), Kancheepuram Silk (Tamil Nadu), Kangra Tea (Himachal Pradesh), Mysore Sandalwood Soap (Karnataka), Malabar Pepper (Kerala), Blue Pottery of Jaipur (Rajasthan), Kutch Embroidery (Gujarat), Feni (Goa) and Nagpur Orange (Maharashtra). Intellectual Property Rights Attorney Association is looking for similar goods and products in your region.
This is a novel opportunity as it will aid your home state and give requisite recognition to products and goods that are worthy of it, and essentially will help in the welfare of your home state.
The details that Intellectual Property Rights Attorney Association seeks would be specification of the goods or product, description of the goods, geographical area of production and map, historical records, method of production and uniqueness. Bear in mind, these products or goods should be indigenous to the area of your residence or your permanent address, as this will enable you to do relevant research.
This is a unique research opportunity for students as every contribution will be important as it is towards a not-for-profit purpose.

Certificate and Stipend:
Intellectual Property Rights Attorney Association will grant you a Research Certificate and a Recommendation Letter. As it is a not-for-profit organisation, the Certificate provided can be used for your college’s requirement for NGO internships. Students who contribute significantly will be eligible for a variable cash prize.
Location:
This research internship is purely online and association will primarily interact by means of email and phone calls. So it is perfect for students in college and people not willing to shift their location for research purposes.
