NLU Jodhpur’s 1st CARTAL Conference on International Arbitration

The Centre for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law (CARTAL) at the National Law University, Jodhpur (India) undertakes study and research in the theory and practice of arbitration through workshops, guest lectures and conferences etc., along with bi-annually publishing the Indian Journal of Arbitration Law (IJAL).

In furtherance of its pursuits, CARTAL and IJAL, along with Baker & McKenzie are organizing a two-day international conference on the state of arbitration, Arbitration at Crossroads, at the National Law University, Jodhpur on October 15-16, 2016. The Conference is institutionally supported by ICC, SIAC, HKIAC and CIArb. The Society of Indian Law Firms is the principal sponsor.

Number of Seats

A limited number of seats for the Conference are now available on first come, first serve basis. Only students from the third, fourth and the fifth year of the five-year undergraduate law degree or final year of the three-year law degree are eligible to participate in the Conference.

Registration and Fee

The registration fee is Rs. 1500 per participant and covers participants’ accommodation and meals for the duration of the Conference. On successful participation, students will be provided with a participation certificate.

Deadline

The deadline to pre-register is September 28, 2016. Upon preliminary registration, the organizers, subject to availability of seats, shall share the complete registration details and modalities of payment of the registration fee. The final registration and payment of registration shall be completed latest by October 3, 2016.
