The Sports Committee, NLSIU in association with the Sports Law and Policy Centre, Bangalore is organising the 3rd Spiritus Sports Law and Policy Essay Competition.
Deadline
Last Date for Submissions: 23rd August, 2016 (11.59 pm).
Prizes
Authors of the winning entries will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to intern at the Sports Law and Policy Centre.
1st – Rs. 7500
2nd – Rs. 5000
3rd – Rs. 2500
Submission Guidelines
Word limit: 3500-4500 words (inclusive of footnotes)
Citation Style: OSCOLA (4th edn., 2012)
Maximum 2 co-authors are permitted.
Topics
- Rule 40 of the Olympic Charter – Is it a necessity to preserve the unique nature of the Olympics or an unduly restrictive and unfair restraint?
- Should certain sporting disciplines do away with separate events for men and women?
- The Lodha Committee Recommendations: Timely intervention or a case of unnecessary judicial activism?
