Society for Non Human Persons (SNHP) at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore will be hosting the first ever HSI Presents NLSIU Animal Protection PIL Competition, 2017 from the 20th-22nd January, 2017.
This first of its kind competition will be held over two stages: memorial qualification round and oral rounds. The NLSIU Animal Rights PIL Competition is to provide students all over India an opportunity to develop knowledge in the field of Animal Welfare Law and Constitutional law while honing their written and oral advocacy skills.
The winning team’s PIL will be filed in the Supreme/High Court with the help of the Legal Services Clinic, NLSIU and our Associate Research Partner, the Center for Law and Policy Research. Multiple teams from the same institution as well as cross university teams are allowed as well.
Deadline
- 25th November, 2016: Last Date for Seeking Clarifications.
- 10th December, 2016: Registration Deadline
- 20th December, 2016: Last date for Memo Submission.
Prizes
The prizes for the event are sponsored by the Deeper Democracy Project.
- Best Team: Rs. 70,000/-
- Runners Up: Rs. 30,000/-
- Best Memorial: Rs: 20,000/-
- Best Speaker: Rs. 10,000/- and an internship with CLPR.
