Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's friend Sandeep Kumar Singh has sent a legal notice to Arnab Goswami and Republic TV demanding Rs.200 crores for allegedly maligning his image in public and to delete and remove all the 'malicious footage and articles' against him telecast/published by the channel. Singh has also sought an apology in writing/video for Goswami's 'vexatious and frivolous' allegations.

Advocate Rajesh Kumar of R&R Law Associates has sent the notice to Republic TV and its Editor-in-Chief on behalf of Sandeep  Kumar Singh, who shared the notices on his instagram page.

The notice cites various examples of when the channel and Arnab Goswami allegedly maligned him. Thereafter, the notice states-

"The above statements, debates, programmes, news articles carried on your TV channel and digital platforms amounts to defamation both civil and criminal under section 499 of IPC punishable under section 500 of the Code."

The notice calls upon Republic TV and Arnab Goswami to drop, delete and remove all the malicious footage and articles telecasting forthwith against Sandeep Kumar Singh and tender unconditional apology in writing/video to him for the vexatious and frivolous allegations.

The notice further calls upon to compensate to the tune of Rs 200 crores for allegedly maligning the image in public.
