The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 23rd November has approved the proposal for appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges in the Chhattisgarh High Court:

1. Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas;

2. Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi.

Justice Vyas obtained his degree in Law from Pt. Ravishankar University, Raipur in the year 1995 and practiced in District and Sessions Court at Raipur, Raigarh and Bilaspur, Labour and Industrial Courts, Raipur, Madhya Pradesh High Court at Jabalpur and Chhattisgarh High Court at Bilaspur. He was appointed as an Assistant Solicitor General of India in September 2014 and continued September 2017. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court on March 22, 2021.

Justice Chandravanshi obtained his degree in Law from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar (M.P.) and joined as Civil Judge Class-II at Civil Court Bilaspur in July 1990. He served as Additional Registrar (D.E.) of the Chhattisgarh High Court and thereafter as the District and Sessions judge, Surguja at Ambikapur. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court on 22nd March, 2021.
