The Gauhati High Court has invited suggestions/opinions from the Bar on 58 applicant Advocates as a part of the process of designating them as Senior Advocates.

Rule 6 (3) of the Gauhati High Court (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2018 provide the applications received for senior designation have to be published in the official website of the Gauhati High Court inviting suggestions/views of other stakeholders to the proposed designation.

Towards this end, the Permanent Committee of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh for Designation of Senior Advocates has granted 15 days' time to all the stakeholders to submit their views/ suggestions.

Thus, the views/suggestions may be submitted to the Secretariat by 15th April, 2021, either through e-mail (at hcjsecretariat@yahoo.in) or in the office of the Chief Justice Secretariat, Gauhati High Court, Guwahati-781001.
