No Suitable Candidates For District Judge Promotion Based On Written Exam Results: Rajasthan High Court Notifies

The Rajasthan High Court has notified that no candidates/Senior Civil Judges have been found suitable for promotion to the cadre of District Judge 2024, based on the results of the written examination. 

The notification for the 'Limited Competitive Examination for promotion to the cadre of District Judge' was issued on 09 July 2024. As per the notification, Senior Civil Judges who completed 5 years of service were eligible to appear in the exam.

As per the High Court's notification, 99 Senior Civil Judges were eligible to appear in the exam. The notification said that the exam was for a total of 45 posts (16 vacancies for 2022-23, 4 vacancies for 2023-24 and 2 vacancies for 2024-25).

The preliminary exam was held on 24 November 2024 and 46 candidates were selected for the written tests.

The written examination for the promotion to district judge was held on 8 and 9 March 2025. 

As on February 04 2025, there were a total vacancies of 342 for Judicial Officers posts in District and Subordinate Courts in Rajasthan.
