Second Covid Wave: NCLAT Prepones Summer Vacation From April 26 To May 20

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal has modified it's calendar for summar vacation of this year in light of the recent surge in Covid 19 cases throughout the Country. The Competent Authority of the NCLAT has resolved to prepone the summer vacations from 26th April to 20th May from the earlier notified schedule of 7th to 30th June.
The office order dated 19th April 2021 issued in this regard reads thus:
"The earlier notified Summer Vacations from 07.06.2021 to 30.06.2021stand cancelled and shall be working for the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi. In lieu of the same, the period from 26.04.2021 to 20.05.2021 (both days inclusive) shall be observed as Summer Vacations for Principal Bench of NCLAT at New Delhi. The Registry shall however remain functional during this period."
The office order also provides that e-filing of cases during the said period shall be operational and urgent matters may be taken up for hearing by the Tribunal as per the decision of the Competent Authority, upon an email being sent to registrar-nclat@nic.in .
Furthermore, the order reads thus:
"It is further informed that request for change of the dates of the matter, if required, can be made by the parties/ Ld. Counsel, atleast three days in advance, by email being sent to registrar-nclat@nic.in, after obtaining consent /objection of the opposite party/parties in writing for seeking adjournment, which shall be considered by the Competent Authority. During this period of 26.04.2021 to 20.05.2021 Vacation Court will sit mostly on Tuesdays and Fridays to take of urgent matters for which Boards will be notified."
