The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association has organized its 1st SCAORA Cricket Premier League–a 20 overs white ball tournament, with the inaugural match scheduled on February 23. 

The first match on Sunday will be played between a team comprising of the sitting Supreme Court Judges and High Court Judges–CJI XI against SCAORA XI (consisting of AORs, Senior Advocates and also the DDCA President, Shri Rohan Jaitley) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi at 4:30pm. Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna is set to preside. 

The league conceptualizes 8 cricket teams initially, for the current season 2025-26 owned by designated Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court–Shri Damma Naidu, Shri PB Suresh, Shri Sajan Povayya, Shri Devadutt Kamat, ShriBuddy Ranganathan, Shri Sitesh Mukherjee, Shri Vikas Pahwa and Shri Chinmoy Sharma. 

All the teams would be consisting exclusively of AORs and the matches are proposed to be played under flood lights (day/night) with a white ball and coloured clothing.

The inaugural match would be played under floodlights at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium on Sunday evening and would be telecast live also. Special permission has been given for this match by the BCCI and the DDCA; and the ground facilities is incidentally being provided free for SCAORA.

The cricket initiative has been conceived by a core team of Vipin Nair (President), Amit Sharma (Vice-President), Nikhil Jain ( Secretary) and Kaustabh Shukla ( Asstt. Secy. ) Many other sports events are being planned in the near future for maintaining a better work -life balance for the bench and the bar.
