The Supreme Court Collegium has proposed to elevate four Judicial Officers as Judges of the Allahabad High Court and three Advocates as Judges of the Gujarat High Court.

In its meeting held on August 14, the Collegium approved the proposal for elevation of following Judicial Officers as Judges of the Allahabad High Court:

  • Sanjay Kumar Pachori (District & Sessions Judge, Bareilly)
  • Subhash Chandra Sharma (Presiding Officer, Land Acquisition, Rehab & Resettlement Auth., Kanpur Nagar)
  • Subhash Chand (District & Sessions Judge, Farrukhabad)
  • Saroj Yadav (Director, Institute of Judicial Training & Research, Lucknow)

Further, it approved the proposal for elevation of following Advocates as Judges of the Gujarat High Court:

  • Vaibhavi Devang Nanavati
  • Nirzarkumar Sushilkumar Desai
  • Nikhil Shreedharan Kariel
