Justice Sreenivas Harish Kumar granted bail to her subject to execution of a personal bond of Rs 3 lakh and two sureties of like amount. She has to mark her attendance twice every month with the probe agency and has to co-operate with the investigating agency.
Senior Advocate Hashmath Pasha, appearing for Galrani, told that the court has rejected the submission of the prosecution that she can be treated in the prison. He added that the court has directed the prosecution to communicate the order to the prison authorities today itself.
The Court had earlier directed for conducting a thorough medical checkup of the actor by the doctors of Vanivilas Hospital to assess her health condition and submit the report.
On November 3, the High Court had denied bail to actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjana Galrani and other accused persons who were arrested in the Sandalwood drugs case. The actors along with others have been charged under various sections of IPC including 120b (criminal conspiracy) and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985 under sections 21, 21C, 27A, 27B, and section 29. Ragini was arrested on September 4 while Sanjjana was arrested on September 8.
The drugs case came to light in September when the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested a person, who had revealed how high-profile drug parties were organised in Bengaluru.
