An FIR has been lodged against a Judicial Magistrate in Rajasthan alleging that he asked a Dalit gang rape survivor to strip in the court to show her injuries.

According to Hindustan Times, the survivor had filed a complaint on March 30 alleging that the Hindaun Court Magistrate Ravindra Kumar “asked her to strip in order to see her injuries.”

The survivor refused to strip and after recording statement in the court, she registered a complaint against the said magistrate.

The said judicial magistrate was booked under Section 345 (wrongful confinement) of IPC and under the relevant provisions of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act based on the complaint filed by the survivor.

“A senior official from the Rajasthan High Court said that an investigation into the matter is underway. The case has been transferred to a team led by vigilance registrar of the Rajasthan High Court Ajay Singh Jatt who also visited the rape survivor in Karauli on Wednesday and recorded her statement,” HT reported.
