Punjab's Advocate General Amar Preet Singh Deol Resigns

Advocate-General for Punjab, Amar Preet Singh Deol today submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi. Senior advocate Deol was appointed as the AG for Punjab in September 2021.

Mr.Deol was appointed as the AG for Punjab after Senior Advocate, Atul Nanda had resigned from the post of AG on September 18, soon after former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh had submitted his registration to the Governor.

Senior Advocate Nanda had cited constitutional convention and had highlighted that his appointment was co-terminus with the chief minister's appointment.
