The Supreme Court Advocates-On-Record Association (SCAORA) has written to the Supreme Court seeking postponement of the 'Advocates On Record Examination-2021' from June, 2021 to December, 2021.
The letter has been written by Dr. Joseph Aristotle, Hony. Secretary, SCAORA and has been addressed to Rajesh Kumar Goyel, Registrar & Secretary, Board of Examiners.
The letter states that,
"In view of the prevailing circumstance of the surge in the Global Pandemic COVID-19, we request your good self to postpone the Advocates On Record Examination-2021 from June, 2021 to December, 2021"
Referring to Rule 1 of the Regulations regarding Advocates On Record Examination, the letter states that the same provides for the exam to be held in December.

It may be noted that the Supreme Court of India in March 2021, notified that the Advocates-on-Record examination 2021 will be held in the Supreme Court Premises on 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th June, 2021.
The notification was issued on 26th March and it stated that all Advocates who complete one year's continuous training on or before 30th April, 2021 will be eligible to appear for the aforesaid examination.
Also, on April 24, the Supreme Court had extended the last date of submission of the AOR exams application forms to May 1, 2021 till 01: 00 P.M.
