A Police Constable, deployed in the Delhi High Court security, has reportedly died by suicide using his service weapon, early this morning.
According to police sources, information was received that one constable of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary deployed in the High Court security had committed suicide after reporting on duty.
"Today morning he came on duty around 9.30AM. He had joined duty today after coming back from leave," the sources said.
The news came while the judges of the High Court were holding physical Courts including Chief Justice, DN Patel inside the High Court premises.
Recently, a shocking incident of gun-firing took place in a court room in Delhi's Rohini Court. As per various media reports, Gangster Jitendra Gogi was shot dead in a broad daylight shootout that took place in Rohini court today. Media portals had reported that apart from Gogi, 3 others had been killed in the shootout.
Yesterday, Justice Rekha Palli had issued notice on a plea seeking directions on Delhi Police and Bar Council of Delhi for taking measures to ensure safety and security of Delhi District Courts, in wake of the recent firing incident in Rohini Court.
