NCDRC Allows Advocates To Appear Physically If All Parties To The Matter Consent [Read Notice]

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has started physical hearing of cases from September 1 onwards.
The Commission has given an option to the Parties/ Counsel to appear physically in the cases listed for Video Conferencing before Benches Nos.1 and 6, for advancing their submission/arguments.
It has been clarified that only if all the Parties/Counsel to a Case are willing to appear physically, they shall be heard physically. If all the Parties/Counsel to a Case do not wish to appear physically, the Case shall be heard through Video Conferencing only.
For this, the Counsel/Parties may furnish to the Registry, their willingness/consent to appear physically in the matters listed for hearing on a particular day, at least two days before the date of hearing.
Only the Arguing Counsel shall be allowed to appear physically before the Benches and no Clerks shall be allowed.
Note: Advocates are exempted from wearing heavy upper body clothing like coat, gown, etc.
