The Delhi Bar Council yesterday unanimously elected Former Honorary Secretary Murari Tiwari as the new Chairman of Delhi Bar Council. He will stay the Chairman till the next election of the council. The Delhi Bar Council yesterday unanimously elected Former Honorary Secretary Murari Tiwari as the new Chairman of Delhi Bar Council. He will stay the Chairman till the next election of the council.

The Apex bar body of the Delhi is has still not notified the same on its official website.

Tiwari was earlier elected as Hony. Secretary of the Bar Council for two terms in 2010 and 2012. He is a law graduate from the Campus Law Centre (CLC), Delhi, and had joined the bar in 1991. As a student leader, Murari Tiwari was elected as General Secretary of CLC in 1989.

After entering into legal practice, he had contested the election in Delhi Bar Association ( Tis Hazari Court) and was elected as Additional Secretary of the bar in 1999.

For the first time in 2003, Tiwari got elected as member of Delhi Bar Council and he has been a member for three consecutive years.

He ( Tiwari) has been has been performing his responsibilities like enrollment committee, disciplinary committee, indigent and disabled lawyers committee etc." press release issued by Sanjay Rathi.
