Jharkhand High Court Legal Services Committee, in collaboration with the Advocate's Association, High Court of Jharkhand, Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, High Court Employee's Co-operative Society Limited, Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation, and Voluntary Blood Donor Association, successfully organized a "Mega Blood Donation Camp" on 07.12.2023 at the High Court of Jharkhand premises.

The Chief Guest of the event was Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand, who shared the numerous benefits of blood donation, urging everyone to come forward and contribute.

Justice Rongon Mukhopadhayay, known for his relentless work in this cause, was another source of inspiration for the mega event. Joining the cause, Justice Ananda Sen also donated his blood, setting an example for others to follow.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of all the Judges of the Jharkhand High Court.

The ceremony was also attended by Shri Rajiv Ranjan, Advocate General, and Additional Advocate Generals, Shri Rajendra Krishna, Chairman, Jharkhand State Bar Council, Mrs. Ritu Kumar, President, Advocate's Association, Shri Anoop Birtharay, DIG, Ranchi, Shri Mohd. Shakir, Registrar General, and other Registrars, Dr. Prabhat Kumar, Civil Surgeon, Ranchi, Shri Ravi Shankar Mishra, Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, Shri Ajay Prakash Chandra, Chairman, High Court Employee's Co-operative Society Limited, Shri Atul Gera, Secretary, Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation, Shri Aroop Chakraborty, Joint Secretary, Voluntary Blood Donor Association, Ranchi. The event was expertly compared by Ms. Tanvee, Dy. Secretary, State Court Management System (SCMS), High Court of Jharkhand.

Members of the bar, officers, and employees of the High Court, along with police personnel, including many female advocates and employees, participated in the blood donation camp with immense vigor.

A noteworthy total of 219 units of blood were collected through this noble initiative. Considering the growing number of thalassemia patients and needy individuals, the High Court Employee's Co-operative Society, under the aegis of the Court, has been consistently conducting such blood donation camps bi-annually or annually since 2015, aiming to benefit those in need.
