Comical incidents in the courtrooms on virtual platforms took a turn today as a man was seen attending the proceedings possibly shaving or brushing his teeth with his camera switched on before the Kerala High Court. 

The incident was detected by the other attendees in the morning session before Justice V.G. Arun, who fortunately did not seem to have noticed the same. 

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and its recent surge had forced several courts around the country to revert back to the virtual mode of hearing. With this shift came a series of similar incidents of lawyers and litigants appearing through video conferencing platforms disrupting the decorum of court proceedings, mostly by accident or technical glitches. 

The Kerala High Court had switched to online proceedings this Monday. Less than a day into this transition, the Court witnessed a man walking to and fro brushing his teeth or shaving. A video of the same which has been circulated through social media also shows a handbasin in the background.

A similar incident had occurred before the Court a few months ago when a shirtless man was seen listening to the proceedings with his camera switched. 

Upon noticing the same, the Court had emphasised that although it was open to all, attendees were expected to maintain the required decorum in the courtrooms.

This incident had a larger audience since the court was slated to hear the sensational Church dispute, and this had garnered quite a number of attendees before
