Madhya Pradesh High Court Pays Homage To District Judges Who Passed Away Last Year

The Full Court of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Thursday paid homage to the Judges of the District Judiciary who passed away in the previous calendar year. During the reference, sitting and retired judges, who departed last year, were remembered.
This is the first time in the history of Indian Judiciary that this type of reference event was organised to pay homage to the services & contributions of the late judicial officers.
Highlighting the importance of District Judiciary, Madhya Pradesh High Court's Chief Justice Ravi Malimath said that the District Judicial Officers are the most important and first link of the judicial system and said that they are such unsung heroes of our judicial system, whose contribution is rarely discussed.
Principal District and Sessions Judge and President of Madhya Pradesh Judges' Association Subodh Kumar Jain thanked the Chief Justice for his sensitivity towards the services of the late district judges on organizing this reference event and also paid tribute to Late Judicial Officers.
The event took place today at 3.30 pm at the Principal Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Jabalpur, in which the judges of the Gwalior and Indore benches of the High Court, all the Judicial Officers of the state joined by virtual mode .
Also, family members of bereaved judges who died and advocates also became a part of the event.
