The Kerala High Court has released an official memorandum with precautionary guidelines to be complied with by the employees in light of the rising number of Covid-19 cases reported at the Court. 

The memorandum dictates the following precautions to contain the spread of the virus: 

  • Face mask must be worn properly, covering the nose and mouth, all the time during office hours. 
  • Maintain hand hygiene especially while sharing telephones, computers and its peripherals. Practice frequent handwashing even when the hands are not visibly dirty and use alcohol-based hand sanitisers. 
  • After making biometric punching, hands should be sanitised. 
  • Employees having any symptoms like fever, cough, cold, etc shall maintain social distancing while attending office they are exempted from using biometric punching and instead only have to swipe their RFID. 

The guidelines were issued by the Registrar General yesterday.
