The Kerala High Court Advocates' Association (KHCAA) has addressed a letter to the Chief Justice of the Court seeking steps towards the restoration of normal physical sitting in the High Court as well as the subordinate courts in the State as early as possible.

The letter disclosed that the Executive Committee of the KHCAA has resolved to put forth the request considering that while waging a relentless war against the Covid-19 pandemic, the stalemate in part cannot be allowed to continue for long in the matter of full functioning of the Courts.

It was also mentioned in the letter that the present system will certainly affect the strength and credibility of the legal system itself in a grave manner.

"We are confident that your Lordship and companion Judges would take a decision to re-start the physical functioning of the Courts from November 1st onwards," the letter reads.
