Kerala's Advocate General CP Sudhakar Prasad has tendered his resignation. He was Kerala's Advocate General during the first term of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's government.

It is understood that the Senior Advocate sent in his resignation to the law secretary on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. 

Senior Advocate CP Sudhakara Prasad previously served as Advocate General from 2006 to 2011, when VS Achuthananthan was Kerala Chief Minister.

Following the election of the LDF government for a second term, discussions are presently ongoing as to who might be appointed as the next Advocate General. The newly-elected LDF government is slated to be sworn in this evening.
