Justice S V Bhatti Transferred To Kerala HC From Andhra Pradesh HC [Read Notification]

The President today notified the transfer of Jusice Sarasa Venkatanarayana Bhatti from Andhra Pradesh High Court to High Court of Kerala, accepting the Supreme Court collegium's proposal.

On January 15, the Collegium had proposed his transfer to Kerala HC in the interest of "better administration of justice".

Upon his views being sought on the proposal, Justice Bhatti expressed his unwillingness to go to Kerala HC and requested to consider transferring him to Telengana High Court instead.

But, the Collegium s refused to accede to his request and reiterated the transfer proposal on February 20.

He was sworn in as an Additional Judge of the High Court of A.P on 12th April, 2013. He was appointed as Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh and assumed charge as such on 08.09.2014.

He is at present the second senior judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court.
