The Petitioner-accused, Nageshwar Singh was apprehending arrest in connection with a Complaint registered against him under Section 47(a), 47(b), 47 (c) of the Excise Act.

The counsel for Accused submitted that the petitioner volunteers to pay an amount in the Prime Minister Care Fund, meant for the present epidemic i.e. COVID-19.

After hearing the case via video conferencing, the bench of Justice Deepak Roshan noted that the Petitioner had no criminal antecedents. "I am of the opinion that it is fit case to give the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
