Justice M.C. Hari Rani, former Judge of the Kerala High Court passed away early on Wednesday.

Justice Rani entered the judicial service in April 1982 as a Munsiff and worked at Thalassery, Kuthuparamba and Thaliparamba. She worked as Additional Sub-Judge at Palakkad and Thalassery, and as Principal Sub-Judge at Thalassery. 

In 1991, Justice Rani was promoted as a District Judge. She has presided over the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal at Thalassery, Kottayam, Ottappalam and Irinjalakuda and worked as the Additional District Judge at Palakkad and as a District Judge at Alappuzha, Manjeri, Thrissur and Kalpetta.

She was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court on May 2, 2008, and became a permanent judge on April 3, 2010. She retired from the judicial service in October 2011.
