Former Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice Sanjay Kumar Seth succumbed to the COVID-19 in the wee hours of Friday.

Justice Sanjay Kumar Seth took oath as the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court in November 2018 and retired in June 2019.

Justice Seth was enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1981 and practiced in Jabalpur on Civil and Constitutional matters. He also served as an additional advocate general in the Madhya Pradesh High Court for the Government of Madhya Pradesh

Justice Seth was appointed as an Additional Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court in the year 2003 and was later on appointed as Permanent Judge in the year 2004.

Before being appointed the Chief Justice of the High Court, he also served as the Acting Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan also mourned Justice Seth's demise
