Five new additional judges of High Court of Karnataka took their oath of office on Monday.
They are: Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda, Jyoti Mulimani, Nataraj Rangaswamy ,Hemant Chandangoudar, Pradeep Singh Yerur.
Governor Vajubhai R Vala administered the oath at a function held at Raj Bhavan in the presence of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty and Law Minister J C Madhuswamy.
Justice N S Sanjay Gowda (52), enrolled as advocate in 1989 and has been practising at HC and tribunals ever since.
Justice Jyoti Mulimani (51), started practice in 1991.
Justice Nataraj Rangaswamy (49), enrolled as advocate in 1992.
Justice Hemant Chandangoudar (52) started practice in 1994.
Justice Pradeep Singh Yerur (49) started practice of law in 1997.
The SC Collegium had recommended the elevation of these Advocates as judges of the high court, vide resolution dated October 3.
