In an important step towards effectuating e-filing during Lockdown, the Delhi High Court has generated a new "link" for purposes of e-filing "non-urgent" cases in both fresh and pending matters.

"Under advisement, Advocates and litigant(s) in person are informed that a new link (http://dhcefiling.nic.in:8080/DHC_NONURG/) has been created to enable non-urgent, i.e., ordinary filing, in this Court both in fresh as well as pending matters" - Registrar General Delhi HC.

The order dates May 8 is signed under the hand of the Registrar General Manoj Jain, enunciates access to lawyers for filings during the Lockdown period. 

The order also makes it clear that the matters, though filed, shall be taken up after the lockdown is lifted, unless otherwise mentioned.

Information regarding objections in filing(s) shall also be communicated to the litigant(s) and advocate(s), the order states.

Additionally, recourse to filings can also be taken vis-à-vis designated e-filing counters at the district Courts of Delhi i.e, Tis Hazari, Patiala House, Karkardooma, Rohini, Dwarka, Saket and Rouse Avenue. 

Notably, the order further states that scanning facilities for the aforementioned purposes, shall also be made available "free of cost".
