Delhi High Court Vacation Benches To Hear Urgent Cases During Winter Vacation From December 24 To January 3

Delhi High Court will hear only urgent matters during the winter vacations commencing from December 24 to January 3, 2023.
As per a notification released today by Registrar General Ravinder Dudeja, the composition of the vacation benches is as follows:
- Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice Amit Sharma: from December 24 to December 26
- Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Saurabh Banerjee: from December 27 to December 29
- Justice Najmi Waziri and Justice Saurabh Banerjee: from December 30 to January 1
- Justice Sanjeev Narula and Justice Amit Mahajan: from January 2 to January 3
The notification states that the judges will first sit in Division Benches and then sit singly to hear urgent civil, criminal matters and other matters, as may be placed before them.
"Ordinarily the Hon'ble Judges will sit in Court on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and such other days as they may think fit at 10.30 A.M. The sitting may continue for the next succeeding day if matters fixed for any day are not finished on that day," the notification states.
It further adds that in case any judge is not available on any day for any unforeseen reason, the other judge may sit alone subject to the condition that the judge shall not dismiss the division bench matters.
