A single judge bench of Justice Prateek Jalan of the Delhi High Court today issued notice on Pinjra Tod activist, and Delhi riots accused Natasha Narwal's petition seeking to be enrolled into her 3rd year of PhD studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi, from where she has been pursuing the doctorate degree since 2018.
Narwal has prayed for directions to the University to provide her with her login ID and credentials for completing the provisional registration process, to provisionally register and admit her in the requisite semester of the PhD program, to facilitate access to her PhD supervisors through video conferencing, and to permit her to access monetary scholarship or fellowship "as is her entitlement as a PhD student of the University."
